Teens charged in Big Spring armed robbery case

BIG SPRING, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Two teens have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Big Spring.

Police officials say the robbery was reported Tuesday in the 1500 block of Chickasaw.

Officers spoke to the victim who reported he was walking when two suspects pulled up, pointed a gun at him, and began going through his pockets.

The victim also told police that as the suspects were going through his pockets, he tried to grab the gun, a release reads.

Officers later located the suspects, identified as 17-year-old Marcus Diago Pena and a 16-year-old boy, in the 1600 block of Avion.

Both have been charged with aggravated robbery and police say the investigation is ongoing.
