ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – A west Texas student reached a major milestone in the face of adversity.

Romeo Ramirez suffers from cerebral palsy and is bound to a wheelchair.

Today he accepted his bachelor’s degree in criminology from UTPB.

Romeo plans to earn his masters degree.
