BIG BEND, Texas (Nexstar) – The South Rim fire in Big Bend National Park continues to grow.

Park officials say the fire is now up to 929 acres and is just 35 percent contained as of Wednesday morning.

However, the Park says favorable conditions Tuesday, cooler temperatures, and increased humidity, have aided in battling the blaze.

Fire crews will be out again today working on containment measures, according to a release.
