ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Seven new cases have been confirmed in Ector County, according to stats from the Health Department.
Three women, in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s all tested positive for the virus, data shows. Additionally, there were two men in the 20’s, another in his 40’s and the last in his 70’s.
The source of exposure in all of these cases is currently unknown.
ECHD officials say they have tested more than 600 people, 516 of which have come back negative.
Additionally, stats show 23 people have recovered and 60 tests are pending.
Thus far, three people have died as a result of the virus in Ector County. However, officials with the ECHD say one is not counted among their data because that patient was not a resident of Ector County.
Additionally, officials say the first patient from a nursing home has tested positive in Odessa.
