Runoff election to be held Tuesday

(NEXSTAR) – Voters in Midland and Odessa will make their way to the polls again tomorrow for another election.

The runoff will be held Tuesday with several positions up for grabs.

In Odessa, Javier Joven is up against current city councilman Dewey Bryant for Mayor. Meanwhile, the current Mayor, David Turner, will vie for the at-large council seat against Denise Swanner.

Also on the ballot, are Mark Matta and Michael Shelton Sr. who are fighting for the District 1 seat. District 2 will also be on the ballot featuring Rachel Minor and Steven Thompson.

Voting centers will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and will close at 7 p.m.

Voting Locations:

  • First Church of the Nazarene, 2223 Lyndale Drive
  • The Globe Theater (Odessa College), 2308 Shakespeare Road
  • Salinas Community Building, 600 W. Clements Street

Over in Midland, two MISD Trustee positions are up for grabs.

James Fuller and Michael Booker will fight for the District 1 seat and Steve Vargas and Katie Wallace Joyner for District 4.

Polls in Midland will also open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

  • Midland Chin Baptist Church, 2800 W. Louisiana
  • MLK Jr. Community Center, 2300 Butternut Lane
  • Odessa Country Club, #1 Fairway Drive
