ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Organizers with the Permian Basin Oil Show have announced they will postpone the event due to Coronavirus concerns.
Officials say they met last week to discuss the status of the show but ultimately decided to postpone it.
“It is not realistic to move forward with the show since our priority is the safety of our exhibitors, attendees and contractors,” a statement from the PBIOS reads. “With the increase in COVID-19 cases in most states, the show has been postponed until October 19th-21st, 2021. This decision was not made lightly and only after many discussions, thoughts and alternative ideas were considered.”
The PBIOS says this is the first time it has been postponed since WWII.
