PECOS COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Officials with the City of Fort Stockton have announced they will begin to comply with Gov. Greg Abbott’s order on face coverings.
The City Facebook page posted the update Monday morning along with a copy of the Governor’s executive order, which was put in place back on July 2.
At that time, Pecos County was not compelled to comply with the order, which stated that counties that had less than 20 active cases were exempt.
However, City officials say due to the rapid increase in confirmed cases, they will begin to comply with the executive order.
