OPD officer charged with family violence

Local News

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – An Odessa Police officer has been charged in connection with a family violence investigation.

Police say they were notified of the family violence case on Sunday and determined there was probable cause to charge Office Polo Frescas with assault family violence, a second-degree felony.

Frescas was arrested Tuesday and is currently being held at the Ector County Jail. He has since been placed on leave without pay pending the investigation, police say.

The OPD says Frescas has been an employee with the OPD for seven years and was a Sergeant with the department.
