OPD makes arrest in burglary with intent case

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to a burglary that occurred on March 25th.

Jackson Lee McMillian has been charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, evading arrest and failure to appear warrant.

On Wednesday, just after 6:30 PM, OPD was called to the 3200 block of Chestnut in reference to a subject with a gun. When police arrived they spoke to the complainant who said McMillian had forced himself into their home and threatened them, according to the OPD report.

After investigation, OPD discovered McMillian had fled before officers arrived. There were no reported injuries. Based on the circumstances, a warrant was issued for McMillian.

Thursday, just after 10:30 AM, OPD located McMillian in the same area that they were first called to. According to OPD, he ran from the officers but was eventually caught and taken into custody.

McMillian was arrested and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
