ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One new coronavirus case has been confirmed in Ector County, according to stats released Thursday from the Health Department.
This brings the total case count to 103 in Ector County.
Stats also show 1707 have been tested with, 1477 coming back negative. Additionally, 74 have recovered from the virus, and 127 are still pending.
County and City leaders, along with health experts say they remain cautiously optimistic about the numbers in Ector County.
However, they continue to stress the use of masks in public and advise residents to continue practicing social distancing to prevent further spread.
Officials with the ECHD also announced this week that the Texas National Guard will return to Odessa for additional testing.
The testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ector County Coliseum. Residents must call 512-883-2400 to register.
