ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Ector County, stats released Tuesday show.
The total case count in Ector County is now at 85. Stats also show about 60 people have recovered from the virus and nearly 1,400 have been tested.
Ector County was on a multi-day streak of no new confirmed cases. However, that was snapped Monday when six new cases were confirmed, including a housekeeper at Medical Center Hospital.
Hospital officials say they are working to assess the possible exposure and have notified staff at the facility. It is the third MCH staff member to test positive for Coronavirus.
MCH, the Ector County Health Department and Odessa Regional Medical Center will provide another update at 3 p.m.
