One new case confirmed in Ector County

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One new case has been confirmed in Ector County, according to stats from the Health Department on Monday.

Officials say a woman in her 60’s tested positive for the virus and the source of her exposure is currently unknown.

The update comes after five EZ-Rider employees tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend. Health officials in Midland say they have since tested more than 20 people at the EZ-Rider office.

The Ector County Health Department is also advising riders of possible exposure on April 8.
ECHD said those who rode the Odessa Route 3 bus on April 8 should self-monitor until April 22.

The ECHD, Medical Center Hospital and Odessa Regional Medical Center have been hosting daily COVID-19 updates to get information to the public.

The briefing will begin at 3 p.m.
