MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One Midland man is dead after an accident 8 miles south of the city on Monday evening.

According to DPS, the crash happened just after 7 PM on Highway 349. 39-year-old Bernardo Natividad was driving north on the highway when, according to the driver of the second vehicle, he lost control and came into the other lane.

The driver of the car in the southbound lane was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Natividad was pronounced dead on the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
