UPDATE: The driver involved in the fatal crash has been positively identified as Felipe DeJesus Leon-Molina, 33 years of age, of West Odessa. Next of kin have been notified and the investigation continues.
ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Odessa Police are investigating following a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning.
Police officials say around 2:47 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the area of Highway 80 and Loop 338 about the crash.
While investigating, officers learned the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup was headed west on Highway 80 when the driver veered off the road, struck the median and flipped, according to a release.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. Officers are still working to identify the driver, according to the release.
