ANDREWS COUNTY, Texas (Nexstar) – Two suspects have been charged following a shooting in Andrews County that left one injured.
Andrews County deputies were called to the shooting around 11:44 p.m. Friday night in the 100 block of SE 1700.
When deputies arrived, they reportedly located an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound. The 18-year-old was transported to Permian Regional Medical Center and was later transferred to a Lubbock hospital, according to a release from the Andrews County Sheriff’s Office.
A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old, identified as Rubin Rey Jr., were later charged in connection with the shooting, according to the release.
The 16-year-old and Rey Jr. were both charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated robbery, deputies say.
