BIG SPRING, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One man was arrested following a pursuit in Big Spring Monday.

Officials with the Big Spring Police Department say around 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon an officer noticed a Chevrolet pickup that had been reported stolen out of Howard County and tried to stop the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly refused, initiating a chase with police.

Officials say the suspect turned behind an abandoned home in the 1800 block of west 3rd Street and ran from the truck.

Police then set up a perimeter, in which they located and arrested Christian Torrence, according to the release.

Torrence, police say, was found with several key fobs and noted various items inside of the truck that had been taken from vehicles in Garden City.
