ODT Records pays tribute to Odessa mass shooting victims

Local News

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/ Fox 24) -One local music group writes a song to honor the victims of the mass shooting.

ODT Records pays tribute to the Odessa mass shooting victims as well as first responders.

“We all came together just to make this tribute song,” Joe Arguello says. ” Also, to pay our respects to the family of the victims and also pay our respects to first responders.”

In a heartfelt situation, ODT Records wanted to reach out to the victim’s families and the community by creating a memorable song.

“We have love and respect for the victims and their families and first responders,” David James Bullard. “This is a heartfelt situation, so we had to reach out, and this is the only way we know how to do it, so that’s what we did.”

ODT Records hopes their tribute will also bring awareness to mental health.

“This is something that we did not only for the family, but I’m also hoping that it raises awareness for mental health,” Christy AnaPerez says. “Mental health is something people don’t like to talk about, so I hope that maybe this can get the conversation started at least in this our little community here.”

ODT Records hopes this song will reach across the state of Texas.

“There’s a lot of compassion behind it, especially now since a lot of people don’t show compassion,” Johnny C. Salgado says. “I think if we do stuff like this, it’ll show the compassion behind it.”
