ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – In line with orders from the Governor Monday, the City of Odessa has released a timeline for the reopening of playgrounds, parks and city facilities.
Officials with the City of Odessa say playgrounds and the skate park will be open to the public starting Friday. Pavillions will also be available Friday although reservations will resume in June.
Community building rentals and reservations will also resume on June 1 with no more than 50 percent capacity, a release from the city outlines.
Additionally, youth and adult sports programs will begin practicing on May 31, and games can resume on June 15, in line with the Governor’s orders.
However, City officials note that if COVID-19 cases spike, dates, times, and reservations could change. Spraygrounds and swimming pools within the city will remain closed.
