MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – An Odessa man was killed following a crash Wednesday morning south of Odessa, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers were called to the crash around 5:50 a.m. Wednesday on FM 1787, about 16 miles south of Odessa.
While investigating, troopers learned that driver of a semi-truck was headed west on FM 1787 when he entered the eastbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet pickup, the release reads.
The driver of the Chevrolet pickup, Andrew Ramirez, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, officials say.
No other injuries were reported and DPS officials say the investigation is ongoing.
