ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A Georgia man has died after an accident earlier this month in Southeast Odessa.

Back on the morning of February 14th, Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the 7100 block of East I-20 in reference to a major crash involving a semi.

According to Odessa Police, the investigation revealed that Joseph Imhoff was traveling behind the semi on the interstate. He failed to control his speed and hit the semi from behind. Imhoff was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

No one else was injured in the crash, alcohol was a factor.

On February 27th, Imhoff was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
