Nine new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Midland County

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Nine new Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Midland County, according to a release Friday.

Officials say a family of six, two women in their 70’s and 40’s and three men in their 60’s, 30’s and a child, all tested positive for the virus.

All are currently self-isolating  at home and their source of exposure is contact with a known case, the release reads.

Two of the cases are a woman in their 50’s and 20’s.

Officials say the woman in her 50’s was tested by the Martin County Hospital District and her source of exposure is contact with a known case in Temple.

The other is an employee at HEB on Loop 250. Officials say her last day at work was Thursday, according to the release.

The ninth case is a man in his 40’s and his source of exposure is contact with a known case.

This brings the overall case count to 155 in Midland County.
