MPD Sergeant charged with public intoxication

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A Midland Police Department Sergeant has been charged with public intoxication, according to a release Monday.

Police officials say on Sunday, officers were called to the 2300 block of Camp Drive about a man staggering around an apartment complex with a gun in his waistband.

When officers arrived they found Sgt. Chance Rainer who was arrested and charged with public intoxication.

MPD officials say Rainer had already been placed on administrative suspension pending the investigation of a “prior infraction.”
