MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Midland Memorial Hospital has ramped up its efforts in testing for COVID-19.
In doing so, the hospital now has a drive-through sample collection site in Midland. However, health officials stress that those who have symptoms should not self-report to the sample collection site.
Instead, residents are asked to self-isolate and call their primary care physician or 68NURSE (432-686-8773).
Only patients who have met the screening requirements and have an appointment through 68NURSE or a scheduled appointment by their provider will be allowed at the drive-through screening site.
Pop-up collection sites have appeared across the state in major cities like San Antonio.
Although no confirmed cases have been reported in Midland or Odessa, Mayors for both cities have drafted emergency declarations.
