MIDLAND, TEXAS (BIG 2/FOX 24 NEWS) – According to a new study, more millennials are buying homes in Midland.

In SmartAssets’s fifth annual study on where millennials are buying homes, Midland ranks in the ninth spot. SmartAsset analyzed data for 200 of the largest cities in the United States, where under-35 homeownership rates have been increasing in recent years. The study looks at the current rate of millennial homeownership and how much that has changed in the past ten years.

Although Midland had the slowest growth in millennial homeownership, it still ranks in the top 15% of cities on both metrics the study considered. Homeownership rates for Midland residents under the age of 35 were 37.94%, higher than the national average of 33.7% in 2018.
