MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – Midland ISD is scheduled to hold its final vote to approve and welcome a new Superintendent.

Dr. Angelica Ramsey was named the lone finalist to replace former Superintendent Orlando Riddick back on Jan. 14.

Now, trustees will place their final vote and are expected to approve the hiring of Dr. Ramsey on Friday.

The vote will take place at noon, Friday at Bowie Fine Arts Academy.

Those wishing to sing up to speak may do so at Bowie from 11:30 a.m. till 11:55 a.m. Masks will be required.
