MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – Now a major push to close the digital divide in Midland County schools.
Soon every student in MISD will have either an iPad or a laptop.
Jones Elementary got the first truckload of Chromebooks today. This is one of many deliveries to come.
More than 12,000 learning devices are headed to local campuses.
“They know how to work them better than some of our teachers. They’re ready to add apps to them and tell’em what they want to add on to them. So, that’s really fun to see in the classroom,” said Jones Elementary Principal Amber Harmon.
In total, Midland schools will get more than 8,000 Chromebooks and 4,400 iPads.
