MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A Christmas tree is believed to be the culprit in a structure fire that occurred in Midland Tuesday night.
Officials with the Midland Fire Department say crews were called to the 3200 block Mariana about the first around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
MFD says the fire started in the first floor and spread to the second floor of the home. Crews managed to extinguished the flames within 45 minutes, according to a release.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire and officials say the fire was caused by the “ignition of a natural Christmas tree.”
