Mayor Turner provides update on COVID-19 response

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Mayor David Turner posted another video to Facebook providing updates on the COVID-19 numbers in the city and a shelter in place.

He first discussed the numbers.

Currently, there are three confirmed cases in Ector County, 26 negative results and 43 still pending, the Mayor outlined on Facebook.

He then turned to the shelter in place order he announced Friday on Facebook.

“The whole goal is to keep people safe,” Turner said. “As elected officials, our number one job is to make sure the health and safety of our citizens. This is not a decision we made lightly.”
