Local church serving pancakes this Saturday at MLK Center in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – Starting your day off right. That’s what one local church wants to help you do.

Community Worship Center is feeding 500 people pancakes. It’s happening this week at the Martin Luther King Community Center.

“It makes us excited that we get to help and it’s not even this huge help it’s just this little small thing but I know it’s going to lighten a load on somebody so for us it just makes us ecstatic to be able to be the hands and feet of Jesus,” said Latoya Mayberry, Community Worship Center.

“For me I think it might literally tell somebody like you still matter you’re important, we see you, and like I said, it may just be a breakfast but for them, the way you start is how you finish so if you don’t have to worry about having a meal for one day and that’s all you can wake up and say I get to go get breakfast you can tell your kids like hey we’re going to get something fancy today and just go get breakfast and feel like that for one moment, why not?”

You can stop by for the grab-and-go breakfast this Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
