MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The second escapee from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office has been located and re-arrested, according to a release from the MCSO.
Officials say Fabian Pena escaped from the Midland County Jail on Sept. 1, prompting a search by various law enforcement agencies.
On Thursday, the Odessa Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety received information on where Pena was located and responded.
Around 9 a.m. Pena was reportedly spotted driving in the area of 13th and Lee Street. Officers tried to stop Pena but say he refused, leading to a chase.
Eventually, Pena was arrested and transported back to the Midland County Jail and charged with escape from a correctional facility.
