KERMIT, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Kermit ISD has announced its approach to the 2020-2021 school year, offering two options for parents and students.
Students and Parents will be asked to select either the traditional school experience, which includes have students on campus five days a week, or a remote learning experience.
According to Kermit ISD, any positive cases that are confirmed will be isolated and will not result in the closure of a school or the district.
Parents will be asked to decide which model works best for them and their children. The application to choose a specific experience will open August 10 and will remain open until August 14.
District officials say if parents do not specify which experience they want, the students will be expected on campus for the first day of school.
