ODESSA, TX (Big 2/ Fox 24) – Jersey Mike’s kicks off its 10th annual “Month of Giving” this month! The American submarine sandwich chain has been giving back to the community ever since it opened.
Jersey Mike’s in Odessa and Midland’s goal is to raise as much money as they can to help the West Texas Food Bank feed those in need.
“I believe there’s no other company doing what we do,” says Waylon McHale, franchiser of Jersey Mike’s of Odessa. “This is our tenth year doing this, so it’s really gaining momentum.”
A momentum that the subchain continues to be known for which is helping not only the West Texas Food Bank but other non-profit organizations as well.
“It just shows Jersey Mike’s believes in helping the community, ” says Craig Stoker, communications director of West Texas Food Bank. “It shows that they have a commitment to supporting local nonprofits all over the country.”
Every Jersey Mike’s across the country is asking locals to participate in donating 5 dollars, and with the donation, you will get a free sub.
“To give back to local people and people that come in every day, you can give back to their friends, their families, and it’s a big deal,” says McHale.
The Jersey Mike’s day of giving will be on Wednesday, March 25th, at both locations Odessa and Midland.
