Howard County issues burn ban

HOWARD COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Commissioners in Howard County have issued a burn ban, according to a release Wednesday afternoon.

The 90-day ban was unanimously supported by Commissioners in a 5-0 vote Wednesday.

It will prohibit all outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of the county, “unless restrictions are terminated earlier based on a determination” from the Texas Forrest Service or the Commissioners Court, the release reads.
