ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – Hospital personnel with Medical Center Hospital and Odessa Regional Medical Center will discuss their ongoing response to Coronavirus Monday afternoon.
The update comes as MCH mourns the loss of a long-time employee who died with the virus over the weekend. The employee had been with MCH for more than 32 years. He was identified as a 55-year-old man, admitted to MCH back on Dec. 13.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Ector County was reporting 6,363 confirmed COVID-19 cases along with 5,180 probable cases for a total of 11,543.
The active case count was listed at 1,651 and the hospitalization rate just over 12.5 percent for the entire trauma service area.
