A Midland staple is back. Green Acres Mini Golf announced it will open July 15th.
“I remember going to it when we were smaller,” says Sammy Torres, who lives in Midland and went to the course as a teen.
The course first opened back in 1955. It was a popular spot for decades before closing a few years ago. Now it’s back with 18 holes of fun, and every hole is the same as the original, but new and improved.
“As you start playing you’ll remember playing when you were 10 or 11 years old,” says partner in the project Jeff Beard, “You’re going to recognize all of the holes.”
The church, the windmill and the cabin are all back with a fresh twist. Now there’s more stuff to do for children during your adventure, like playgrounds and slides.
There’s also an arcade and concession stand at the site.
“It gives us something fun to do in the summer,” says Torres.
Green Acres will be reservation online only for at least the first the month. You can already reserve a tee time ahead of the opening date by clicking here.
