(Nexstar) – Statewide gas prices are down just one cent this week, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.
Currently, the statewide average price is $2.59, which is one cent less than this time last week and 95 cents more than this time last year, the data shows.
“Retail fuel prices have been practically unchanged since last week,” Danial Armbruster, AAA Texas spokesman, said. “This, as demand for gasoline remained steady week-to-week.”
AAA says drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average at $2.92. However, Midland and Odessa not far behind again this week at $2.88 and $2.85.
Local numbers are also more reflective of the national average which sits at $2.87, according to AAA Texas.
