ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Ector County Health Department has confirmed the four employees at the Midland Medical Lodge have tested positive for COVID-19.
The tests were administrated by Ector County and will go towards the Ector County total because the workers all live in the county, County Commissioner Eddy Shelton said in a release Sunday.
The update comes after an outbreak sparked at the facility earlier this month. Officials with Midland Health say at least 30 people have tested positive at the facility, with the majority being residents, and they are still closely monitoring the outbreak
In addition, the Health Department has confirmed three employees from Complex Community Federal Credit Union has also tested positive for COVID.
At this time the facility has closed and they are taking the recommended precautions. The Health Department is actively working both situations.
