ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – BBQ and Go-Kart racing does not sounds like too bad a match.

But, it gets better both Fat Head Meats and Rim Rock Raceway have teamed up to help Jesus House food pantry.

Scott Cherry, Rim Rock Raceway owner says helping out is the least he could do.

“We all need help, take the help and run with it,” says Cherry. I’ve had to do stuff for other companies that have helped out Jesus House and I jumped on board.

When it comes to giving back to the Midland-Odessa community Jr. Hernandez, Fat Heads Meat is more than willing and knew this fundraiser is something he wanted to be apart of.

“Our goal is to fill,” says Hernandez. Johnny Tackler he’s in charge of Jesus House of Odessa so he’s gonna bring the big ole blue trailer our goal is to fill that sucker up we need Odessa-Midland to come together and all the other surrounding communities to help us do this as well.

Participants can bring 5 cans in exchange for a free brisket sandwich. And each can gives participants $1 off a ride.

The fundraiser will happen May 9th at 2 P.M. at Rim Rock Raceway.
