ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Jaime Palma describes late brother, Eddie Hernandez Palma, as a family man and someone he will miss for the rest of his life.

“He was already a grandfather of 9 grandchildren, he was always family oriented towards his family and this is why I see this as a senseless death.”

Jaime Palma has been without his brother for 7 days now; he says no amount of time will erase the pain he feels in his heart after his brother was stabbed multiple times. According to OPD, the stabbing did not occur at his residence but somewhere between the 2500 block of Tom Green and Dixie.

“It was and is and it will be devastating and we will not rest. I assure you if the perpetrator is watching this tape we’re coming after you we are going to turn every stone. You just didn’t kill anybody you murdered my brother you’ve got every veteran, every law enforcement officer coming after you,” said Jaime Palma.

He said his brother was a veteran who served in operation Iraqi Freedom and made it a point to send care packages to troops over seas, something Jaime will never forget  as a fellow veteran himself.

“In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward I’m offering a personal $10,000 cash reward with no questions asked an anonymous tip where the whereabouts of the suspect I just need the name of the suspect it’s a solid lead and a solid tip,” said Jaime.

The surveillance footage from the 7-11 on the corner of University and Dixie shows the person of interest in a 1997-2003 silver Toyota Prius. As of right now OPD does not believe that criminal activity had anything to do with Palma’s stabbing.

Steve LeSueur, the Odessa Police Department PIO said, “A  life was taken, one was too many, and again we are just reaching out to the public. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Odessa Police Department or Odessa Crime Stoppers.”
