Local News

An Ector County man who ran from police Monday, has now been named. Police say 18-year-old Kevin Hernandez has been arrested for evading arrest. He is now behind bars on a $25,000 bond.

According to a release from the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was trying to make a traffic stop Monday night at around 8 p.m. when a driver would not stop.

The driver was in a white Chevrolet Camaro on Meteor Crater Road. The Sheriff’s Office said the person was driving recklessly. As the deputy was chasing the driver, the driver eventually hit a curve and rolled.

The driver got out of the car and ran away. Deputies soon caught the driver. We’re told the person has not been cooperative and his name is not being released right now.
