ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is investigating following complaints about threatening text messages.

Officials say they have been receiving calls from residents about the texts, who say the suspect threatens the victim and their family is a fee is not paid.

Additionally, ECSO officials say if the victim does not comply, they take photos from the victim’s Facebook pages, or their homes to make it more personal.

The suspect is also accused of sending graphic photos of bodies, according to a release.

The ECSO says the text messages are generated from online phone applications using an IP address that is constantly changing.

Now, they are asking anyone who receives these text messages to contact the ECSO so it can be documented.
