Update: ECSO deputies in pursuit of a stolen vehicle

Below is a timeline of events:

5:35 p.m.

ECSO is in the pursuit of a freshly stolen vehicle.

It started in the area of 158 and 385.

During the pursuit, an ECSO unit hydroplaned and rolled. The deputy appears to be ok but is being checked out at MCH.

The pursuit is ongoing at this time on lease road outside of Goldsmith.

More info as it becomes available.

6:50 p.m.

ECSO and assisting agencies are still in pursuit of the reported stolen vehicle earlier.

Suspect vehicle has run several vehicles off the road….no reported injuries

Suspect vehicle is in a field South of Andrews….Officers are attempting to locate the subject now on foot.

K-9 and Drone has been deployed.

7:35 p.m.

9:00 p.m.

Stolen vehicle recovered from field South of Andrews,

Suspect on foot.  Not yet in custody.

Update: (Friday, 11:00 a.m.) Deputies have released additional information, that the vehicle was stolen just before 5 p.m. which was when a company reported it missing Thursday night (November 7th). According to the company, the employee stopped for gas at the Stripes on Yukon. While they were inside someone stole the company truck. Deputies used the GPS in the truck to track it’s location.

The stolen vehicle has been recovered, and deputies are still pursuing the suspect, who has fled on foot.

7:32 p.m.: The suspect has fled from his vehicle and is now running from police on foot. His vehicle is located in a field south of Andrews. K-9 and Drone teams have been deployed.

6:52 p.m.: The Vehicle ECSO is pursuing has run multiple others off the road. No injuries have been reported. ECSO and multiple other agencies are still chasing the stolen vehicle.

ECSO is in pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The chase started in the area of State Highway 158 and US Highway 385.

During the pursuit, an ECSO unit hydroplaned and then rolled. The deputy appears to be okay but is being treated at Medical Center Hospital.

According to ECSO, the pursuit is ongoing at this time on a lease road outside of Goldsmith.
