ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Ector County ISD announced Monday that they will provide meals for students who need it while schools are closed amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In a news release, Mike Adkins says they will begin serving lunch for students Tuesday at 11:30 AM. Breakfast will begin on Wednesday morning.
Children will be able to stop by any school in the district except the two early college high schools and the Alternative Education Center.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30-9:00 AM and lunch from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. It will be a grab-and-go system for receiving the food.
The meals are for students only. Parents will be able to stay in cars and have the meals delivered to them. Children must be present when picking up the food.
