ECISD to host Facebook Live Thursday night

Local News

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Ector County ISD is trying out a new way to communicate with parents and students.

The district will host their second Facebook live event tonight, with the goal of speaking with parents and students and answering any lingering questions that may be out there.

Early this week, District officials announced they would remain closed through May 1, per the order from Gov. Greg Abbott.

Additionally, Superintendent Scott Muri said, reluctantly, the district would no longer be able to serve meals on weekends. Muri went on to say, he hopes there is a community-based solution to help families in need on the weekends.

You can catch the Facebook live tonight by following the link below. It will begin at 7 p.m.

In the meantime, we want to hear from parents as well. What has your experience been with remote learning? How are you handling the dual role of parent-teacher? Comment on our Facebook post and let us know!
