ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Ector County ISD is reaching out to parents to get their take on what school days should look like in the fall.
To reach parents, the district has released a survey and plan to use the responses to help craft a plan that keeps students safe amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the district, 18 committees started working on plans for the school year including a daily schedule of transportation, instruction, lunch, and other activities as well as various safety guidelines like social distancing.
However, district officials say building that plan has been difficult without hearing from parents on what their plans are.
In completing the survey, parents are not making any sort of commitment to either form of learning, according to the release.
