MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – DPS is releasing more information on an officer-involved shooting in Midland earlier this week.
On January 22, shortly after 9 PM, Midland Police Officers were serving a warrant at a home at 2009 East Pine Avenue in reference to a narcotics investigation.
According to DPS, while attempting to serve the warrant there was an exchange of gunfire between the officers and a 16-year-old boy in the home. During the shooting, a 3-year-old girl was injured. She is in stable condition at this time.
The 16-year-old is in custody. The Texas Rangers did find evidence of narcotics trafficking in the home and are continuing to investigate the shooting.
