District Judge orders to open ballot boxes in MISD Bond vote

Local News

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – District Judge David Lindemood has ordered the opening of voting machines to count the total number of ballots involved in the MISD Bond vote.

This is not a recount. The purpose of this is to count the total number of ballots cast to address the discrepancy in the total number of votes between the initial vote on November 5th and the recount a week later.

You may remember there was an 820 vote disparity after the recount.

The counting will be open to the public and will take place at the courtroom in the Midland County Annex Building on December 12th at 9 AM.
