MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A police chase on Monday night ended in one suspect being killed by police. The second suspect remains in serious condition.
According to a release, around 8:30 PM, DPS Troopers were assisting the US Marshals in a search for two wanted fugitives. A trooper located the suspects and a car chase ensued.
According to DPS, during the chase, one of the suspects leaned out of the cars window with a shotgun and fired at a trooper.
The pursuit ended and both suspects ran resulting in an officer involved shooting.
Both suspects were wounded and taken to Midland Memorial Hospital. 26-year-old Brittany Teichroeb of Odessa died at the hospital. 43-year-old Christopher Price of Huntsville remains in the hospital in serious condition.
