City of Midland receives funds for small business relief

MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – The City of Midland has received COVID-19 relief funding and will issue grants through their Mirco-Grant Assistance Project.

The program was approved by Midland City Council on December 29.

The program is available for business interruptions occurring on or after March 27, 2020, due to the pandemic.

According to a release, grants of $10,000 will be made to businesses that are eligible and be award on a first-come-first-serve basis. Funds are limited.

Applications will be open to businesses on January 26 at 5 p.m. on the City of Midland’s website.

Completed applications must be delivered in-person to Midland College Cogdell Learning Center. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
