MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Midland Mayor Patrick Payton took time in the Unified Midland Command briefing this morning to clear up some confusion about online utility payments.
Payton says he “takes full responsibility” for the confusion and reassured residents there will be no interruption in city services as the transition takes place.
The City recently underwent the transition, which requires residents to take a few steps to pay their bills online, such as finding their new account numbers.
Payton says the city has received several inquiries on the new system, prompting them to create an instructional video for those who are having issues.
The video explains the new customer service portal, how to access the portal, where to find new account numbers, and more.
Also in the video, Assistant City Manager Morris Williams Jr. notes that residents can still pay their bills by phone, at payroll locations, or by visiting the drive-thru drop box at City Hall.
